About the Role:
As a Risk Assessment Specialist, you will oversee and facilitate the payment processing of AVP transactions. This includes identifying delinquent accounts and working with customers to reconcile. Additionally, you will help to ensure the company is adequately protected through preventative measures and operational policies; they will work closely with different departments to implement risk management practices and monitor ongoing risks. This role will adopt a PST schedule with typical hours expected to be from 9am-5pm.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Proactively identify potential risks & debts of AVP transactions through data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and platform monitoring.
- Identifying high-risk accounts early on and taking proactive measures to minimize potential losses.
- Reaching out to customers with overdue accounts via phone, email, or mail to discuss payment options.
- Implementing collection tactics like escalating accounts to finance and/or legal departments when necessary.
- Maintaining accurate collection data, generating reports on collection performance, and identifying trends to inform risk management strategies. Keep track of accounts receivable on a daily basis.
- Educating internal stakeholders on risk management procedures and best practices.
- Ensuring adherence to internal policies regarding risk management, including the management of buyer account statuses when violating AVP policies.
About You:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Call center agent, Debt Collector, Accounts Receivable Clerk, Collections Agent or similar role.
- Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and assess risk associated with each debt.
- Identify potential issues and developing effective solutions to mitigate risks. Finding creative solutions to resolve complex debt collection issues.
- Effectively interacting with customers in a professional and assertive manner to negotiate payment terms.
- Understand the importance of collecting on as many debts as quickly as possible.
- Be able to spot even the small errors.
- Understand the laws that govern debt collection.

For this role, the base salary range is
$65,000.00-$75,000.00. Total compensation also includes a competitive benefits package. A salary offer will be determined by several factors including experience, skill level, education, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all team members pay and compensation programs regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay.
