Risk and Medical Underwriting Lead Analyst (Hybrid)

Core Responsibilities

• Learn manual and claim experience rating models and pricing tools.
• Perform risk assessments and develop rates for complex cases independently.
• Make strategic recommendations on market competition, product development, and pricing.
• Engage with Sales and Clients through case strategies and market discussions.
• Assist Sales as a financial consultant with in-depth knowledge of rating models and pricing adjustments.
• Manage a diverse book of business focusing on profitable growth and earnings.
• Collaborate with underwriting teams and product partners to optimize opportunities.
• Work autonomously, exercising judgment on techniques and procedures.
• Hold calls with Sales, brokers, or clients independently.
• Mentor less experienced underwriters and lead by example in best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of medical underwriting experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Economics, Finance, or related fields (preferred but not required).
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to handle complex cases and adapt to market changes.

Remote work requires internet with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds.

Salary range: $74,300 - $123,900 annually, plus potential annual bonus.
