Job summary

Humana is seeking an IPA Consultative Coding Professional to deliver medical coding expertise for IPA affiliates nationwide. You will be the primary resource for assigned providers, guiding documentation and risk adjustment capture with education and specialized guidance.

The role includes quarterly chart reviews, education delivery, and support for coding tools, in a hybrid/remote setup with local travel within Virginia.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of risk adjustment medical coding or risk adjustment provider education.
• Intermediate/advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Certified in CCS, CRC, or CPC at minimum.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary coding and documentation resource for assigned IPA providers.
• Deliver targeted education based on chart reviews and coding analytics.
• Conduct quarterly chart reviews to evaluate coding accuracy and risk capture.
• Support coding workflows and tools, and assist providers with navigation.
• Participate in a daily helpdesk to provide real-time guidance.
