Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking an Associate Underwriter II to support the underwriting team with application intake and documentation. This on-site role lays the foundation for future underwriting responsibilities.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in business/finance, a Property & Casualty license, and strong attention to detail. On-site four days a week with one remote day, located in the ABA Insurance Services unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years in insurance, underwriting support, banking or related experience preferred.
• Property & Casualty license is required.
• Strong data entry and documentation management skills.
• Able to analyze information and identify risks or issues.

Responsibilities

• Review applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Enter and maintain policy, account, and risk information in underwriting systems.
• Coordinate with underwriters, agents, and brokers to collect documents.
• Analyze financial and loss data to support risk evaluations.
• Prepare underwriting files and maintain documentation.
• Support timely processing of new and renewal business.
