Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has multiple openings for Test Operations Engineer supporting the AEDC at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. The engineers will operate and maintain ground test facilities and work as part of an integrated team to support USAF Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Note: This posting targets engineers with less than 5 years of post-degree experience. You will act as a quarterback in control rooms, guiding test execution and collaborating with engineers, data analysts,

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
• Due to Air Force Security requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.

Responsibilities

• Test Bed Operations: Operate advanced test bed systems and direct hands-on system checkouts and active testing sequences.
• System Engineering & Design: Serve as the dedicated system engineer for assigned facility equipment, executing minor design and analysis tasks to ensure optimal performance.
• Operational Planning: Develop critical test operational requirements—such as test period directives and detailed run programs—while verifying that test article mounts are structurally sound.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly in the test control room with a diverse team of multi-disciplinary engineers, physicists, and skilled craft technicians to seamlessly operate facility systems.
• Rapid Incident Response: Master complex systems to rapidly respond to alarms and alerts in fast-paced, high-pressure situations, ensuring safety of crew, facility, and test article.
