Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) seeks a Plant Operations Engineer to support the AEDC Propulsion Test Operations at Arnold AFB, TN. You will work on large electromechanical systems, plan and direct operations, and coordinate with plant engineers, craft personnel, and management to ensure safe, reliable testing.

The role emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, equipment health monitoring, and adherence to PPE and security requirements.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• U.S. citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ground-test facilities safely and reliably.
• Coordinate test programs, schedules and resources with engineers and planners.
• Provide technical direction during test operations and multi-shift support.
• Review equipment status and participate in post-test assessments and incident reviews.
• Develop operating procedures and maintenance plans based on equipment condition.
