Job summary

Walgreens in Newnan, GA is seeking a Store Manager-in-Training type role to supervise the front end and pharmacy operations, lead a diverse team, and drive customer satisfaction and store performance.

You will recruit, coach, and manage personnel, ensure policy compliance, and collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve company deliverables while maintaining excellent patient and customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with solid academic record or completed Walgreens Community Internship Program or High School Diploma/GED with two years supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with professional ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication and business acumen.
• Completion of Store Manager training LEAP or Walgreens Leadership Essentials within 12 weeks of start date.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
• Willingness to relocate/promote to Store Manager if offered, which could require relocation to a different store location.
• Ability to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets within the same hiring area.

Responsibilities

• Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters; manages front end and supports pharmacy/retail store operations.
• Leads store team with recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline of direct reports.
• Engages customers and patients; resolves complaints and models customer service best practices.
• Coaches and trains on customer service metrics; ensures improvements and loyalty.
• Analyzes financial and performance data; identifies sales opportunities and growth initiatives.
• Supports pharmacy during busy periods and may serve as a pharmacy technician when necessary.
