Job summary

April Housing in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Preservation and Investment in Year 15 resyndications and related acquisitions and rehabilitation projects. You will assist multiple Project Managers, prepare documentation, gather data for financial projections, manage due diligence, and coordinate with asset management, property management, and lenders.

Base compensation ranges from $95,000 to $110,000 annually, with potential discretionary bonus; benefits include

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and related work or field experience in affordable housing development.
• Exposure to private and public debt financing.
• At least one LIHTC financial construction closing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports multiple Project Managers in acquisition/rehabilitation transactions and manages documentation and communication.
• Identifies and assembles tax credit and tax-exempt bond applications and bond packages.
• Prepares and submits funding draws during rehabilitation.
• Performs due diligence reviews including title reports, appraisals, market studies, and relocation plans.
• Gathers data to analyze preliminary financial projections and updates projections as needed.
• Prepares construction bidding and contract materials.
• Analyzes funding competition and scoring of applicants.
• Manages tenant relocation processes with stakeholders.
• Provides input on contractor selection and represents the company at industry conferences.
