Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Intern – Process Development Engineer for 3D DRAM Wet Etch. You will work with experienced engineers to develop and optimize wet process technologies and analyze manufacturing data.

This internship includes a dedicated project culminating in a presentation of findings and recommendations; candidates must be enrolled as a PhD student in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field and demonstrate strong data

Qualifications

• Current Ph.D. student in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field; must not graduate before September 2027.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities with data analysis experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize wet process technologies to meet product physical and electrical performance requirements.
• Collaborate with multi-functional process and equipment engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Perform root-cause analysis and failure-mode investigations to resolve process constraints and improve yield and performance.
• Analyze experimental and manufacturing data using statistical methods to support technology development decisions.
• Apply AI and data-driven approaches, where appropriate, to enhance process analysis, problem-solving, and engineering productivity.
