Job summary

CoreSite in Denver seeks a Critical Operations Engineer I to operate, monitor, and maintain mission-critical electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems in a fast-paced data-center environment.

You will respond to alarms, document findings, manage work orders in CMMS, and collaborate with senior technicians, vendors, and customers to ensure uptime and continuous improvement. The role requires a strong safety ethic and hands-on technical ability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or greater.
• 2-5 years of experience in the data center industry.
• Hands-on experience with large commercial or industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong fit for candidates with military HVAC or Electrical training.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems to ensure uptime and reliability
• Perform facility inspections, respond to abnormal conditions, and document findings
• Track, trend, and analyze system performance; use CMMS to manage work orders and maintenance
• Support customer infrastructure projects including cage builds, rack and stack, and cabling
