Job summary

Jobtailor in Texas is seeking a construction project manager to lead project documentation, budgets, schedules, and subcontract management on active site projects. You will coordinate with PM, superintendents, and accounting to ensure timely, safe, and compliant execution.

The role requires a BS/BA in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, OSHA 30/First Aid/CPR, and strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience in project management or BS/BA degree in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field
• OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR Training
• Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment
• Previous leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage time with a strong understanding of priorities in each phase of construction
• Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
• Ability to work collaboratively and plan ahead
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities
• Highly organized
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of construction safety and quality standards
• Understanding of construction management processes
• Familiarity with construction and project management software programs
• High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, management, and storage of all project documentation
• Participate in project hand-off meetings to gather important job information before construction
• Assist the PM in preparing the construction budget
• Assist in developing and managing the construction schedule
• Develop and write subcontracts and purchase orders as requested
• Manage subcontractors and their related performance
• Collect, organize, and distribute materials and equipment submittals
• Create and distribute RFIs for project clarification
• Work with the PM and accounting to resolve cost discrepancies
• Help price, negotiate, and formalize project scope changes
• Work with Superintendents on resource, material, and equipment requests
• Manage project safety, quality, and productivity
• Ensure the jobsite remains clean and orderly
