Job summary

The Energy Cooperative in Utica, OH is seeking a Right-of-Way Worker (Tree Trimmer / Line Clearance) to support overhead and underground line clearance. The role involves operating chain saws and other equipment, climbing and felling trees, and maintaining safe right-of-way, under supervision.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, a valid CDL Class A, and CPR/First Aid training. Candidates must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and cooperate with

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend safety rules and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Support safety, attendance and punctuality as part of the Cooperative's values.
• Climb/fell trees to remove branches near power lines and clear right-of-way.
• Safely operate chain saws and equipment like brush chipper and bucket truck.
• Place signs and cones and notify homeowners when crews work in an area.
• Work overtime, weekends or holidays and respond to outages as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
