Job summary

HDR is seeking a Real Estate Title Agent 2 in Everett, WA to perform title research, review documents, and prepare reports. You’ll work with Project Managers, Real Estate teams and underwriters to identify defects and correct issues while maintaining detailed records.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in title, right of way or paralegal work, strong communication, and solid organizational skills, with GIS and ProjectWise familiarity as a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience with right of way, title, paralegal, real property law or mortgage lending
• Ability to read and understand real estate documents such as deeds, easements, liens, judgments and surveys
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid organizational and planning skills
• Regulatory knowledge is a plus; GIS, database, ProjectWise familiarity helpful

Responsibilities

• Read, write, retrace and interpret legal descriptions such as parent parcel, metes and bounds, and subdivision
• Identify title defects and curative requirements and escalate as needed
• Prepare project reports and review title document packages
• Maintain accurate records of title research activities
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Real Estate Title Agent 3 staff and other teams
• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on task completion and procedures
• Escalate title issues to Real Estate Agent and Project Manager when appropriate
• Perform additional duties as assigned
