Job summary

SEH, an employee-owned engineering firm, seeks a Right of Way Specialist to join the Construction Services team in Minnesota. You’ll build relationships with property owners, agencies, and project stakeholders, representing SEH through acquisition, title research, and coordination with survey, engineering, and legal teams.

This role requires a bachelor’s in a related field, strong communication, and the ability to travel Minnesota-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Minnesota.
• Ability to obtain a Minnesota Real Estate License within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Acquire property rights, easements, and access agreements needed for transportation, utility, and municipal infrastructure projects throughout Minnesota.
• Build relationships with property owners, agencies, and project stakeholders while serving as SEH's primary representative during the acquisition process.
• Conduct property research, review title information, prepare acquisition documents, and coordinate with survey, engineering, and legal teams to support project delivery.
• Represent SEH at public meetings, stakeholder discussions, and project coordination meetings.
• Track acquisition schedules, maintain project documentation, and support clients through all phases of right-of-way acquisition.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and develop into an independent right-of-way professional through training, mentorship, and project experience.
• This opportunity is open to candidates residing in Remote with a preference of Minnesota.
