Job summary

SEH, an employee-owned engineering, architectural, planning and environmental firm, is hiring a Right of Way Specialist in Minnesota. The role focuses on acquiring property rights and easements for transportation and municipal projects, serving as SEH's main liaison with landowners and stakeholders across Minnesota.

Ideal candidates will have a related bachelor’s degree, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel statewide.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Minnesota.
• Ability to obtain a Minnesota Real Estate License within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Acquire property rights, easements, and access agreements for transportation, utility, and municipal projects in Minnesota.
• Build relationships with property owners, agencies, and project stakeholders as SEH's primary representative.
• Conduct property research, review title information, prepare acquisition documents, and coordinate with survey, engineering, and legal teams.
• Represent SEH at public meetings, stakeholder discussions, and project coordination meetings.
• Track acquisition schedules, maintain project documentation, and support clients through all phases of right-of-way acquisition.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and develop into an independent right-of-way professional through training and mentorship.
