Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in related field preferred.
• 3-6 years experience in land acquisition, title searches, real estate law, appraisal field or related fields.
• Active Real Estate License required.
• Knowledge of real estate law and property transactions.
• Excellent analytical and research skills.
• Ability to manage multiple parcels and deadlines independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software applications.

Responsibilities

• Acquire rights in real property through full/partial takings, permanent easements, and long-term leases.
• Identify and contact landowners for project sites.
• Explain project plans and property drawings to stakeholders.
• Request and review title abstracts; evaluate appraisals or comparable sales.
• Negotiate leases and purchases with property owners.
• Review zoning regulations and permit applications as needed.
• Manage parcels independently within authority limits; escalate complexities.

ProSource, a leader in the right of way, acquisition, and relocation industry, is searching for a Right of Way Acquisition Agent II for a project located in Mendota, MN. Headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, ProSource is poised for expansion and growth and are looking for the perfect Acquisition Agent to add to our team.

This position will be worked primarily in Mendota, MN the ideal candidate will live within commutable distance.

Description

The Acquisition Agent II is responsible for working directly and independently with landowners, businesses, and other viable entities to acquire rights to easement for assigned projects. This role represents independent execution within the mid-level tier of ProSource's Acquisition Career Framework.

Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions

• Works independently to acquire rights in real property full & partial takings, permanent easements, and long-term leases.
• Identify potential sites and establish contact with landowners.
• Study, evaluate, and explain project plans and profile drawings and property plats.
• Prepare requests for title abstracts to determine the parties of interest.
• Request, review, and evaluate property appraisals or comparable sales reports.
• Negotiate property leases and purchases with property owners
• Analyze governing body zoning and building codes and complete permit applications.
• Review signed agreements prepared for client approval.
• Manages assigned parcels independently and negotiates within defined authority.
• Escalates complex issues appropriately.

• High School Diploma or its equivalent; degree preferred in position related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in land acquisition, title searches, real estate law, appraisal field or other related fields.
• Active Real Estate License
• Knowledge of real estate law and property transactions.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parcels and deadlines independently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The Acquisition Agent II will spend a significant amount of time working in the field, using a computer and other standard office equipment. The position will require regular travel to meet with landowners, businesses, or any other viable entities. The job may require sitting or standing for extended periods of time and may involve some light lifting or carrying documents or equipment.
