Job summary

ProSource is seeking an Acquisition Agent II to work with landowners, businesses, and other entities to acquire easement rights for assigned projects. The role operates at the mid-level tier within ProSource’s Acquisition Career Framework and involves independent execution in the field.

The Acquisition Agent II will travel to meet landowners, analyze project plans, review appraisals, and negotiate leases or purchases. Strong communication and real estate knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred in position-related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in land acquisition, title searches, real estate law, appraisal or related fields.
• Knowledge of real estate law and property transactions.
• Excellent analytical and research skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Responsibilities

• Works independently to acquire rights in real property full & partial takings, permanent easements, and long-term leases.
• Identify potential sites and establish contact with landowners.
• Study, evaluate, and explain project plans and profile drawings and property plats.
• Prepare requests for title abstracts to determine the parties of interest.
• Request, review, and evaluate property appraisals or comparable sales reports.
• Negotiate property leases and purchases with property owners.
• Analyze governing body zoning and building codes and complete permit applications.
• Review signed agreements prepared for client approval.
• Manages assigned parcels independently and negotiates within defined authority.
• Escalates complex issues appropriately.

Headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, ProSource is poised for expansion and growth and are looking for the perfect Acquisition Agent to add to our team.

The Acquisition Agent II is responsible for working directly and independently with landowners, businesses, and other viable entities to acquire rights to easement for assigned projects. This role represents independent execution within the mid-level tier of ProSource’s Acquisition Career Framework.

Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions:

The Acquisition Agent II will be responsible for the following Tasks:

• Works independently to acquire rights in real property full & partial takings, permanent easements, and long-term leases.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The Acquisition Agent II will spend a significant amount of time working in the field, using a computer and other standard office equipment. The position will require regular travel to meet with landowners, businesses, or any other viable entities. The job may require sitting or standing for extended periods of time and may involve some light lifting or carrying documents or equipment.
