Job summary

Vertiv Corporation seeks a Team Coordinator to support shift supervisors by ensuring smooth production flow and helping relieve bottlenecks across departments. The role focuses on maintaining continuous operation, filling in for absent staff, and facilitating Lean manufacturing initiatives on the floor.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with WorkKeys, 4+ years in manufacturing, and preferably prior lead experience to support team performance and escalation as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Team Coordinator assists the supervisor in the operation of an area of a department so that the Supervisor may increase focus on the people in the area and not be as involved in daily specific workflow issues. The Team Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring continuous production flow by relieving bottlenecks within the department, filling in positions as needed, identifying part/resource shortages, and finding solutions and/or notifying Supervisors that solutions are needed, facilitating implementation of Lean Manufacturing processes, and requesting non-personnel related assistance of other departments by completing work orders and requesting engineering and SFA assistance. May be required to do other reasonable manufacturing duties as assigned.

Primarily conducts Team Coordinator tasks in assigned department and may be used in other departments for the Anderson facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred Qualifications: Previous lead position experience.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Able to lift between 50 and 100 pounds assisted.
• able to learn to work with all hand tools required of all positions within the area, including general work tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, brazing and wiring tools and equipment, forklifts, etc.
• Able to effectively direct the flow of others.
• Able to foster teamwork and resolve conflict.
• Able to work long hours and a variety of shits as needed.
• Able to learn and utilize materials tracking system.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

• Ability to work in an environment with temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees.

TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED

• 10% May need to travel when appropriate depending on product line needs.
