Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC, is seeking a Team Coordinator to assist the supervisor in maintaining continuous production flow and resolving bottlenecks. You will learn and cover all positions, identify shortages, and support Lean manufacturing initiatives.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 4 years of manufacturing experience; previous lead experience is preferred. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work long shifts as needed, with occasional travel up to 10%.

Job description

The Team Coordinator assists the supervisor in the operation of an area of a department so that the supervisor can focus on people rather than daily workflow issues. The primary responsibilities include ensuring continuous production flow by relieving bottlenecks, filling in positions as needed, identifying part or resource shortages, providing solutions, and notifying supervisors. The coordinator also facilitates Lean manufacturing implementation and requests assistance from other departments via work orders and engineering and SFA requests, as well as performing other reasonable manufacturing duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Primarily performs team coordinator tasks in the assigned department and may be utilized in other departments across the Anderson facilities.

Physical & Environmental Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to lift between 50 and 100 pounds assisted.
• Ability to learn to work with all hand tools required of all positions within the area, including general work tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, brazing and wiring tools and equipment, forklifts, etc.
• Ability to effectively direct the flow of others.
• Ability to foster teamwork and resolve conflict.
• Ability to work long hours and a variety of shifts as needed.
• Ability to learn and utilize material tracking system.

Environmental Demands

• Ability to work in an environment with temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees.

Travel Requirements

• 10% travel may be required when appropriate depending on product line needs.
