Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. in North Kingstown, RI seeks an Operations Supervisor for Rigging to oversee daily activities of 10-15 Department 920 riggers at the Quonset Point facility. Responsibilities include prioritizing POD workload, risk assessment, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires leadership, mentoring, and the ability to drive performance on extended hours and overtime as needed. Relocation assistance may be available for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year Electric Boat experience or combined with related Eng degree.
• Minimum 3 years combined, relevant leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend Plan of the Day to prioritize workload and assign work to meet goals.
• Perform risk assessment prior to tasks and supervise lifting activities.
• Ensure compliance with Navy Crane Center standards and EB Safety Manual.
• Perform safety, forklift, and lifting surveillances and drive corrective actions.
• Mentor subordinates and develop substitutes for supervisory roles.
• Drive team performance to support overtime and extended hours as needed.
• Support planning, scheduling, training, safety performance, and process improvement projects.
