Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in North Kingstown, RI is seeking a Rigger to join our manufacturing team. You will participate in lifting, moving heavy loads, and operate mobile and overhead cranes under supervision.

This position requires hands-on rigging work, adherence to safety procedures, ability to work outdoors and at heights, and flexibility to support overtime. We provide paid training, health benefits, retirement plan, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 2 years of related technical experience.
• Experience or training in rigging, lifting or heavy equipment operation.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to work all shifts and support overtime as needed.
• Able to work at heights, in confined spaces and in extreme temperature conditions.
• Able to read, interpret, and follow policies and procedures.
• Own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Lifting and moving heavy loads using rigging equipment.
• Operate mobile and overhead cranes with proper training.
• Communicate with crane operators using hand signals.
• Work at ships, barges, indoors and outdoors.
• Support extended hours and overtime as needed.
