Job summary

Modular Mission Critical, the manufacturing campus for M.C. Dean’s datacenter products, is seeking a Rigging Helper to support qualified rigging personnel and crane crews.

Under direct supervision you will help with load preparation, gear staging, and securing loads while developing safe rigging practices. This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to work outdoors at heights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to follow verbal, radio, and standard hand-signal direction.
• Work outdoors, at heights, around moving equipment.
• Documented employer qualification for rigging duties.
• Forklift/telehandler and aerial lift qualifications when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-task and pre-lift briefings; confirm the assigned position, task, communication method, and stop signal.
• Locate and stage slings, shackles, hooks, tag lines, blocking, cribbing, tools, and support equipment.
• Check rigging gear for damage; tag or set aside questionable equipment for review.
• Assist with routing slings, installing hardware, padding edges, preparing pick points, securing loads.
• Confirm load tags, orientation marks, travel paths, and landing areas are ready; report issues.
• Maintain exclusion zones and stay clear of suspended loads; use tag lines safely.
• Watch for load shift or loss of communication and call stop when needed.
• Clear travel and landing areas; install or remove blocking only after load is stable.
• Assist with de-rigging, inspection, cleaning, storage, and inventory of gear.
• Keep work zones organized and protect gear from damage.
