Job summary

Modular Mission Critical, the manufacturing campus for M.C. Dean's modular datacenter products, seeks a Rigging Helper. Under supervision, you will assist rigging crews with load preparation, gear staging, and safe movement of materials at our site just north of Richmond, VA.

This role emphasizes safe practices, learning rigging signaling, and progress toward Rigging 1 certification. You will contribute to efficient operations and maintain organized rigging gear and work areas while following

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, with no prior experience required, or equivalent experience and training.
• Ability to follow verbal, radio, and standard hand-signal direction and ask for clarification before acting when instructions are unclear.
• Ability to work outdoors, at heights, around moving equipment, and in physically demanding field conditions.
• Documented employer practical qualification for assigned rigging duties.
• Forklift/telehandler, aerial lift/MEWP qualifications when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stage, and route rigging gear and loads under supervision.
• Assist with routing slings, installing hardware, padding edges, and securing loads.
• Maintain exclusion zones and call stop when conditions are unsafe.
• Assist with de-rigging, inspection, cleaning, storage, and inventory of rigging gear.
