Trident Refit Facility Bangor is hosting a hiring event in Silverdale, WA. We seek skilled riggers to support ship docking operations, rigging, hoisting gear, and related tasks on-site.

Eligible candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment with 10AM–3PM shifts during the event. Positions are on-site in Silverdale, WA, with full benefits including health, paid leave, holidays and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

Qualifications

• Experience in rigging and ship docking operations.
• Ability to lay out handling lines and tackle and rig gear for moving loads.
• Familiarity with installing and repairing rigging components and related hardware.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ship docking operations by laying out lines and tackle.
• Rig up hoisting gear for lifting and moving heavy loads.
• Fabricate and install rigging including wires and ropes and related items.
• Install beam clamps, gin poles and supporting structures.
• Operate fork lift trucks (electric, gas, diesel).
• Position and reposition machinery, heavy loads and structural members.

RIGGER – $24.85 - $45.79 PER HOUR

• Assist in Ship Docking operations by laying out handling lines and tackle.
• Rig up hoisting and pulling gear for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy loads.
• Fabricate, installing and repairing standing and running rigging, wire and fiber rope items such as slings, towing bridles, nets and other ship and boat rigging.
• Install beam clamps, gin poles, gallows frames and other supporting structures.
• Operate electric, gasoline, or diesel powered fork lift trucks.
• Perform and direct the placement, removal, or re-positioning of machinery, structural members of ships or buildings, heavy equipment, or other loads.
