Job summary

Patterson-UTI Drilling Company, LLC is seeking a Pad Crew 2 to support the assembly, installation, rig-up, and rig-down of fabrication units on designated drilling pads. You will work hands-on, learn rig components and procedures, and help maintain tools and materials while complying with safety standards.

This role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to lift heavy objects, and the discipline to follow written and verbal directions.

Qualifications

General knowledge of Rig-Up Yard operational processes.
General mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions related to rig-up and rig-down processes.
Demonstrated clear communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English and promptly follow verbal and written directions.
Ability to work efficiently while handling multiple tasks and following through on assigned responsibilities.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including climbing at heights.

Responsibilities

Assist with assembly, installation, rig-up, and rig-down of rig components and fabrication units.
Operate air-powered and hand tools.
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials and fabricated units for accuracy.
Sort, stack, organize, and maintain materials and inventory for the build process.
Support jobsite safety, cleanliness, and organization on the rig-up rig-down cycle.
Train and assist new Pad Crew members on processes and use of equipment.
