Job summary

Patterson-UTI Drilling Company, LLC is seeking a Field Maintenance Technician 1 to travel to drilling rig field locations and perform a variety of equipment service and maintenance activities including servicing, repairing, inspecting and testing equipment. Responsibilities include training rig crews, coordinating maintenance projects, and documenting maintenance findings.

Candidates should have mechanical, electrical or hydraulic troubleshooting skills and the ability to work extended hours in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to four years field maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Ability to travel to drilling rig locations and work extended hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Travel to rig field locations to perform maintenance and service on equipment.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance tasks for rigs and support teams.
• Train and mentor other technicians and rig crews on preventive maintenance.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
• Document findings and update maintenance work orders.
