Weatherford is seeking a Rig Technician to support safe, efficient lab and field operations in Houston, TX. You will assist rig floor activities, perform equipment maintenance, and participate in testing and safety programs as part of a hands-on drilling team.

You'll work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, use forklifts and cranes, and apply basic hand tools while following QHSSE policies to ensure operational readiness and a strong safety culture.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience using basic hand tools (adjustable wrench, screwdriver, measuring tape, etc.).
• Materials handling equipment experience (forklift, overhead cranes, mobile cranes, man lifts, etc.).
• Experience and comfortable working at heights.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with rig floor operations including handling tongs, elevators, slips, and BHA's to support drilling and testing activities.
• Perform equipment maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping on rig/lab equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Support drilling mud system operations: mixing, maintaining characteristics, and operating shaker/desander systems.
• Collaborate with Driller and team members to execute work plans, safety assessments, and ensure efficient project completion.
• Load/unload materials using forklifts and cranes while maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Comply with all QHSSE policies, demonstrate Stop Work Authority, and report hazards immediately.
• Complete safety meetings, observations, and training as required.
• Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
