The Jackson Area Transportation Authority (JATA) is hiring a Dispatcher to support the Rides to Wellness program.

Responsibilities

This role coordinates transportation services for individuals with specialized mobility needs by scheduling rides, monitoring drivers, handling calls and emails, determining eligibility, and managing referrals through the Jackson Care Hub.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), 1–2 years of customer service or related experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A valid Michigan driver’s license, DOT physical, drug screen, and background check are required. This position works in a standard office setting with occasional light lifting.
