Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in Orlando, FL seeks a Rides Control Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade electrical/electronic control systems on attractions, with a focus on safety, reliability, and ride performance.

The role requires hands-on experience with ride control systems, PLCs, and drive systems, along with the ability to read wiring diagrams and manuals, and to communicate effectively with leadership and teams. Resume required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years related experience in an industrial environment.
• Electronic/electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Understand operation of amusement rides from simple start/stop circuits to PLC controllers.
• Understand and troubleshoot variable speed AC/DC drives.
• Experience with RSLogix 5000, Step 7, TwinCat and Profibus is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair ride-related electrical/electronic systems up to 600V.
• Diagnose problems in hard-wired and software circuits.
• Perform annual PLC program verification on rides and monitor PLC code.
• Read and troubleshoot logic in PLCs; program VFDs and DC controllers.
• Ensure safety standards and complete required ride documentation.
