Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking an engineer to redesign and develop ride and show control software for theme park attractions to improve reliability and operations. You will troubleshoot, analyze failures, and lead designs while aligning with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities include project management from design to install, generating documentation, and coordinating with operations and engineering teams. A BS in engineering and hands-on PLC experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in control systems and installation using PLCs, ladder logic, drives, and fault analysis.
  • Functional Safety certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design solutions to improve reliability, safety, and serviceability of Ride & Show systems.
  • Troubleshoot electromechanical systems and perform fault analysis to support downtime recovery.
  • Manage projects from design through installation, including schedules, testing, and budgets.
  • Create engineering documentation and acceptance test procedures per standards.
