Cedar Point is seeking an Entry-Mid level Maintenance Technician to perform inspections, lubrication, troubleshooting, and repair of all rides and devices at the park. This full-time, year-round role requires union membership and the ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

You will operate machine shop equipment, maintain equipment inventories, document inspections in daily logs, and follow manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must provide own hand tools and join the Laborers Union.
• Strong writing skills and reliable record-keeping.
• Experience in electronic, electrical and mechanical work desirable.
• Able to work at heights and pass required background/drug checks.
• Familiarity with blueprints and manuals is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintain mechanical maintenance for amusement rides and devices.
• Operate machine shop equipment.
• Notify maintenance of equipment problems and repairs.
• Read and understand checklists and instruction manuals.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and parts.
• Inspect, lubricate and repair rides as directed, including bearings and oil changes.
• Keep daily log sheets of inspections and repairs.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all mechanical maintenance in regards to amusement rides and devices.
• Operate machine shop equipment
• Notify maintenance of equipment problems, building repairs, etc. necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Read and understand checklists, instruction manuals, etc.
• Maintain inventory of equipment.
• Assist in the inspection, routine maintenance, lubrication, and repairs of rides as instructed including replacement of bearings, wheels, miscellaneous parts, and oil changes.
• Maintain daily log sheets of inspections and repairs performed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Must join Laborers Union.
• Good record and writing skills.
• Able to work at heights, including from catwalks, aerial lifts, crane baskets, scaffolding, and structure climb.
• Ability to demonstrate experience in electronic, electrical, and mechanical work.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools.
• Ability to follow manufacturer's manuals and blue prints.
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
