Six Flags Entertainment Corporation seeks a Full-Time Ride Mechanic in Cetronia, PA. Salary is $28 per hour, with year-round, full-time status.

The role includes training and certification for inspections, maintenance, and rehabilitation of amusement rides, with required ability to work at heights and various shifts. Responsibilities include inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and maintaining detailed records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Ride Inspector Certified within one year. Training provided.
• 2 to 4 years of mechanical experience. Industrial, auto or amusement setting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic mechanical principles such as gear ratios, torque, use of common hand tools.
• Familiarity with bearings, bushings, couplers, shafting and power transmission components.
• Knowledge of pneumatic or hydraulic systems (prefer both).
• Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and safely at heights up to 300 feet.
• Must have a valid PA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily, weekly, monthly, annual inspections of amusement rides and related equipment; takes corrective actions as issues are identified.
• Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and tests rides and equipment; may involve major component repair or replacement.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic systems under supervision and takes corrective actions.
• Maintains accurate records of inspections and work performed.
• Communicates status of rides verbally and in writing.
• Reads and applies information from manufacturer manuals for service, repair or replacement.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in the work area and reports unsafe conditions.
