Qualifications

What you'll bring to the team

About the role...

Removes, installs, repairs, and tests all electromechanical equipment of rides, attractions, and buildings. Performs maintenance functions within the theme park and assists other maintenance personnel as needed, under supervision. Troubleshoots sophisticated American and foreign-made equipment. General electrical and PLC experience, including VFDs, is preferred.

What you’ll be doing...

• Follow established maintenance programs, including emergency repairs, to minimize downtime across attractions and facilities.
• Complete all maintenance repairs thoroughly.
• Keep ride equipment and work areas clean, neat, and organized.
• Inspect rides regularly to ensure safety and prevent hazards.
• Comply with safety and security procedures, following ASTM, NEC, and local electrical codes.
• Operate simple machine tools such as drill presses, saws, and grinders.
• Identify equipment needing repair, replacement, or adjustment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Stay informed on modern techniques through training and seminars.
• Coordinate with maintenance team and other departments.
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Maintain rides and attractions in accordance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Who we’re looking for...

Experienced in installing, maintaining, and servicing electromechanical equipment as a journeyman/technician. Knowledgeable in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of rides and electromechanical systems. Skilled in reading blueprints, using measurement tools, and understanding hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Able to work under pressure and respond calmly in emergencies. Customer service-oriented and able to follow instructions accurately. Must supply necessary hand tools up to 1 inch in size.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience repairing small engines (diesel and gasoline).
• Knowledge of lathe and milling machines.
• Understanding of lubricants.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Comprehensive understanding of electromechanical maintenance of ride equipment and water pumps.
