The role requires collaboration with Hyundai and Kia teams in North America and overseas, with travel up to 30%. Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, experience or interest in vehicle dynamics, and proficiency in data analysis tools including MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Some internship or automotive industry experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of vehicle dynamics fundamentals.
• Experience with data acquisition and MATLAB.
• Competent in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the performance of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles for Ride & Handling and related attributes.
• Develop and execute test plans, coordinate test vehicles, and manage supplier activities.
• Benchmark competitive vehicles for trends and technology.
• Interface with counterparts in Korea and Hyundai/Kia North America.
• Organize resources to support global suspension development teams.
• Create and present technical reports; travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
