Position Summary

Responsible for washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishroom and equipment. Ensure the trash area and outside of the restaurant are clean.

Responsibilities

1. Load, operate, and unload the dish machine.
2. Keep the dish machine clean and report any issues immediately to the Executive Chef.
3. Maintain sufficient levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen.
4. Bag and haul trash to the dumpster at scheduled times.
5. Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
6. Maintain adequate supplies of dish detergent and cleaning materials.
7. Clean food preparation and production areas as needed.
8. Assist with food prep when necessary, measuring and assembling ingredients according to company standards.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Experience: No previous restaurant experience required.

Requirements: Must communicate clearly with staff, be able to reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds, work in a standing position for long periods, and operate in hot, wet, and loud environments. Maintain personal hygiene per DHEC and company standards. Punctuality, reliability, honesty, and having reliable transportation are essential.
