Job summary

A leading health care provider in Nashville is seeking an entry-level Optometry Technician. You will assist the optometrist with patient care and office tasks. Candidates should have 1+ years of experience as an optometric technician and be proficient in performing visual fields and OCTs. This full-time role requires work primarily on weekends with occasional weekdays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician.
• Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography is required.
• Must have own transportation for site traveling.

We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of _______ on an “as needed” basis.

Responsibilities

• Helping the optometrist with procedures and patient care
• Taking patient histories and maintaining the patient records system
• Assisting patients to select a suitable frame for their glasses
• Demonstrating care and maintenance of lenses to patients
• Repairing minor issues with broken and damaged eyeglasses
• Keeping the office organized and presentable, and making the exam room ready
• Testing visual acuity, depth perception, pupil reflexes

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician
• Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography is required
• Experience with computers, including knowledge of and experience with word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs
• Must have own transportation for site traveling

Requirements
