Join to apply for the RHRP Optometry Technician role at Dentrust Optimized Care Solutions.

Attention all Optometry Technicians: we are seeking professionals to work with us providing dental exams and treatment to our Military Service members.

This position primarily involves working on weekends, with occasional weekdays, in Texas on an 'as needed' basis.

We provide Health Readiness Services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following branches:

U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
Army National Guard (ARNG)
U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
Air National Guard (ANG)
U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)

This role involves working directly with patients, operating optical machinery, and interfacing with patient care software.

Typical duties include:

Assisting the optometrist with procedures and patient care
Taking patient histories and maintaining records
Helping patients select suitable glasses frames
Demonstrating lens care and maintenance
Repairing minor eyewear issues
Organizing the office and preparing exam rooms
Testing visual acuity, depth perception, pressure, and pupil reflexes

Requirements include:

At least 1 year of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician
Experience with visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography
Computer proficiency with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
Own transportation for site travel
