Job summary

US Arthritis and Rheumatology Institute in Modesto, CA is seeking a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) to join our rheumatology team. You will work with an experienced rheumatologist to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with autoimmune diseases, inflammatory arthritis, and connective tissue disorders.

Responsibilities include patient evaluations, administering biologic therapies and DMARDs, joint injections, developing treatment plans, and educating patients.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• PA-C NCCPA certification.
• 1+ years rheumatology experience.
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• CPR/BLS certification; DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history taking and physical exams.
• Diagnose and manage rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and spondyloarthropathies.
• Administer and monitor biologic therapies and DMARDs.
• Perform joint injections, aspirations, and other rheumatology procedures.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with patient education and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with rheumatologist, scribes, and other clinicians to ensure comprehensive care.
• Coordinate referrals and interprofessional communication.
• Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with policies and regulations.
