The University of Washington invites applications for the role of Associate Division Head for Clinical Affairs (Associate or full Professor WOT) in the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Medicine. The successful candidate will oversee clinical practice across Harborview, UWMC-Montlake & Northwest campuses, and VA Puget Sound, leading meetings, mentoring physicians, and coordinating

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
  • Board certification or eligibility (or foreign equivalent) in Rheumatology
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington
  • To be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign medical schools must show USMLE steps completion or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Lead section head meetings for Harborview, UWMC-Roosevelt, UWMC-Northwest, and VAPSHS
  • Mentor early career physicians
  • Support recruitment of physicians and clinic staff
  • Coordinate clinical programs, including inpatient call schedule and outpatient schedules
  • Monitor wRVUs and address underperformance
  • Collaborate with division leadership on clinical program changes
  • Teach residents and fellows as attending during didactics and other educational events

Education

MD or DO degree
Board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology
Eligibility for medical licensure in Washington
USMLE steps completion for visa sponsorship eligibility
