A regional healthcare provider in Peoria, Illinois, is expanding its dynamic rheumatology practice and is seeking a BC/BE physician to join the team. The incoming physician will focus on immunologic care with support from specially trained nurse practitioners. This position offers opportunities for teaching and research through the University of Illinois in Peoria. Applicants must be licensed in Illinois and eligible for various federal health programs. • Full‑time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $310,000-$330,000.

Overview

Dynamic Rheumatology practice expanding and seeking an additional BC/BE physician to join our current rheumatologist in the practice.

• Two specially trained rheumatology APNs provide expert care in fibromyalgia, musculoskeletal medicine, and stable immunologic patients, allowing physicians to focus on immunologic care.
• APNs triage new patients to align them with the appropriate level of care (APN or MD).
• APN‑managed fibromyalgia clinic to provide expert‑level care.
• On‑site behaviorist, polarized microscope, lab, and pharmacy.
• Dedicated support staff to manage scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, and specialty pharmacy needs.
• Beautiful office located near OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, OSF Innovation Jump Simulation & Education Center, the new OSF Cancer Center, and downtown Peoria.
• Incoming physician has the opportunity for regional outreach work.
• Teaching with an academic appointment and research opportunity through the University of Illinois Peoria, though not a formal requirement.
• H1B and J1 visa applications accepted.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Physician licensed to practice medicine in the current state.
• Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
• Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
• Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served.
