Job summary

Skyworks is seeking motivated engineering students to join our RFIC design team in Irvine as a Winter/Spring 2027 Co-Op. This role offers hands-on experience in designing and developing RF/microwave ICs, focusing on LNAs and RF switches for wireless applications.

You will work with experienced engineers to gain practical skills in circuit design, simulation, layout, and lab testing while contributing to real product development activities. Onsite in Irvine Jan–Jun 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering with RF coursework.
• Strong grasp of circuit theory and impedance matching.
• Familiar with RF/microwave concepts via coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, simulation, and evaluation of RF building blocks such as LNAs and RF switches.
• Support circuit-level schematic entry, simulations, and data analysis using CAD and RF tools.
• Collaborate with other engineers to debug issues and validate design performance.
• Contribute to design reviews and team discussions by preparing simulation results, plots, or reports.
• Help review layouts and prepare design documentation.
• Participate in lab testing and measurement of RFICs using instruments such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
