Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Cedar Rapids is offering a Winter/Spring 2027 RF Module Design Engineer Co-op. This internship provides hands-on experience in developing advanced RF front-end modules, working with seasoned engineers, and exploring full-time opportunities at Skyworks.

You will learn to design multi-chip modules, perform simulations with HFSS and ADS, and participate in design reviews while gaining practical lab experience with RF testing and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering MS (preferred) or Ph.D. program.
  • Ability to start in Jan 2027. Commitment to work onsite for 6 months.
  • Strong desire to learn, grow and make an impact.
  • Strong career interest in RF/microwave engineering and electromagnetics.
  • Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Working with experienced engineers to design/develop multi-chip modules.
  • Designing semi-lumped RF matching networks, integrated passive devices, couplers, etc.
  • Running simulations using design tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, etc.
  • Participating and presenting in design reviews.
  • Performing lab testing using standard RF test equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving design or technical issues.
  • Collaborating with other engineers and technicians.
