Job summary

Arthrex, Inc. in Naples, FL invites a motivated engineering student to join the Radio Frequency Ablation team as a co-op for Jan 2027 to Jun 2027. You will support research, design, testing and manufacturing efforts for RF surgical probes and equipment under guidance, with a focus on test methods and documentation.

The role offers 40 hours per week at the Naples facility and exposure to cross‑functional projects, CAD modeling, and process improvements within medical device development.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Preference for Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering disciplines.
• Experience with electromechanical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in determining and executing test methods to evaluate product performance, failure modes, root-cause analysis and document results.
• Develop CAD models for prototype designs and test fixturing.
• Participate in cross-functional projects involving new product development, production line enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
• Identify and recommend design and process improvements to consumable manufacturing and evaluation processes.
• Work within established specifications to achieve project goals with a cross‑functional team.
• Support multiple project teams and other departments in new product development and manufacturing.
• Other duties as assigned.
