Job summary

Amazon Leo is building a low Earth orbit satellite network to deliver fast internet globally. This role owns full lifecycle RF test systems and hardware development for spacecraft avionics, with responsibilities spanning hardware/software development, RF testing, system verification, calibration, and CAD design for test systems.

You will serve as the Responsible Engineer for your test set. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years' experience in aerospace/test systems, hands-on RF measurement skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience developing and executing test plans for complex aerospace or related systems.
• Experience designing and integrating test systems for hardware/PCBA validation.
• Experience with RF measurement equipment (power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build, and sustain RF test systems for satellite modems, transceivers, BUCs, LNBs, and ground equipment through V&V and production.
• Support hardware/software development including RF subsystem design and characterization.
• Perform RF test system-level calibration, link budget analysis, and end-to-end verification.
• Own test system CAD design, rack layout, cable routing, and documentation.
• Lead end-to-end test planning and verification, including readiness reviews.
• Drive cross-functional alignment on verification strategy with electrical, mechanical, thermal, software, firmware, and manufacturing teams.
• Develop test hardware, fixtures, and tooling to optimize throughput and fault coverage.
• Maintain calibration procedures, path loss models, and measurement budgets for RF test stations.
