Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks an RF Comms Systems Integration and Test Engineer in Austin, TX to lead bring-up, integration, and debugging of high-throughput wireless systems for satellite comms. You will work with cross-functional teams to define 3GPP-based test plans and ensure conformance against requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in L1/L2 or beamforming, plus experience with RF lab equipment and MATLAB/C/C++.

Qualifications

Experience with RF lab equipment, bring-up, test and integration.
Masters/PhD in wireless communications preferred.
Proficiency in MATLAB and/or C/C++, with Python/Perl/Matlab for test automation.

Responsibilities

Lead bring-up, integration, and debugging of advanced PHY/MAC and beamforming radio systems for satellite comms.
Architect, document, and execute 3GPP-based testing for satellite-ground networks.
Collaborate across PHY, RF, digital beamforming, MAC, and firmware teams for seamless integration.
Trade link budgets and verify RF line-up for payload configurations in RF/IF.
Characterize performance, analyze data, and troubleshoot system-level issues.
Develop test procedures with Linux, Python, and shell scripting; leverage lab equipment.
