Job summary

Actalent in Redmond, WA is seeking an RF Test Engineer to design, execute, and automate RF test activities for components, modules, and systems. The role emphasizes RF/microwave testing, measurement automation, troubleshooting, and thorough documentation to support robust hardware from design verification through production release.

The position requires 3+ years in RF testing, hands-on use of VNAs and RF test equipment, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Electrical/Electronics/Physics).
• 3+ years in RF or microwave testing, characterization, or validation.
• Strong RF fundamentals and measurement principles.
• Hands-on use of RF lab equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes).
• Proficiency in RF testing including fixture/setup for RF measurements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute RF test plans for components, modules, and systems.
• Perform RF measurements and set up measurement fixtures for characterization, validation, and verification.
• Automate bench measurements using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar tools.
• Design and maintain test scripts, data logging tools, and automated report workflows.
• Troubleshoot RF test setups to identify and resolve measurement errors and anomalies.
• Correlate lab results with simulations to validate RF performance.
• Support design verification and production release testing with structured RF campaigns.
• Analyze test failures and lead root-cause investigations for RF issues.
