Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking an RF Test Engineer to support RF test automation, fixture development, and hands-on validation of wireless spacecraft systems. You will design RF test fixtures, develop Python scripts, and operate RF lab equipment, collaborating with RF, embedded software, and mechanical engineers to characterize performance and ensure test coverage.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Python for test automation, data analysis or hardware validation.
• Strong RF fundamentals and wireless comms knowledge.
• Experience with RF lab equipment and measurement techniques.
• Ability to document test procedures and validation results.

Responsibilities

• Design and support RF test fixtures and infrastructure.
• Develop Python scripts for automated RF testing and data collection.
• Operate spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, meters, SD radios.
• Test and characterize modulated RF waveforms and links.
• Collaborate with RF and embedded software engineers to debug hardware performance.
• Document RF test procedures for engineering and production environments.
• Support RF bring-up, integration, and system-level validation testing.
• Assist with OTA, CoEx, desense and related RF tests.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve test coverage and reliability.
