RF Test Engineer – Lead the Function, Build the Future

We’re looking for an experienced RF Test Engineer to take ownership of the test strategy for a growing product line in the wireless systems space. You’ll be the person responsible for leading the test effort end-to-end – from designing manual and automated test procedures, to improving the throughput and reliability of our verification processes.

This isn’t a role where test plans are handed to you – you’ll define them. You’ll collaborate closely with RF, firmware, and systems teams to validate product performance, uncover issues early, and build a repeatable, scalable test environment that evolves as the products do.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own and lead all RF test efforts across the product lifecycle – from prototyping to production.
• Design and implement automated test setups for RF performance, functionality, and system-level verification.
• Develop test scripts (Python or similar) to streamline regression testing and data capture.
• Evaluate, select, and set up test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzers, etc.).
• Work closely with RF, embedded, and systems engineers to define test requirements and methodologies.
• Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of hardware/firmware issues in lab and field environments.
• Contribute to manufacturing test strategies as needed for scale-up.

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years of hands-on RF testing experience in a lab or product development environment.
• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals – impedance matching, gain, noise figure, power, bandwidth, etc.
• Solid experience automating tests (Python preferred; MATLAB/LabVIEW also useful).
• Familiarity with tools like VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
• Comfortable taking the lead on test strategy and implementation – not just running test cases.
• Experience working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Points for:

• Experience with embedded systems or FPGA-based products.
• Familiarity with SDR platforms, wireless comm protocols (LTE, Wi-Fi, 5G, etc.).
• Background in systems integration or field testing.
• Interest in working in a low-ego, high-autonomy environment where everyone wears multiple hats.
