Job summary

Eastern Communications Ltd. seeks an RF Technician to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot RF communications systems supporting public safety, utilities, and transportation.

Based at a local service center in Cedar Rapids, IA, the RF Technician will primarily support nearby centers with occasional travel for installations, testing, and training across regions, ensuring system performance and FCC compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electronics or tech experience relevant to RF systems.
• Ability to diagnose, resolve, and communicate complex issues.
• Read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and repair RF equipment and systems.
• Diagnose signal/interference/hardware issues.
• Perform testing, firmware updates, and calibration.
• Travel as needed for field work and training.
• Maintain service records and documentation.
