Job summary

Arcticom, LLC in Anchorage, AK is seeking an RF Technician to install and service UHF/VHF, DAS, microwave, and other wireless systems. The role emphasizes hands-on RF equipment work, troubleshooting, and timely maintenance to meet client needs.

Responsibilities include programming code plugs for two-way radios, on-site installations, regional travel, and on-call coverage. Candidates should hold an Associate degree in Electronics or IT (or equivalent) and possess a valid driver’s license for

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Electronics or IT or equivalent.
• Hands-on RF equipment installation, programming, troubleshooting and repair.
• Proficiency in RF system configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• RF Certification ETA/NARTE preferred; IP networking experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Install and service UHF/VHF, DAS, microwave, and other wireless communication systems.
• Program basic and mid-level code plugs for two-way radios and related equipment.
• Perform mobile radio installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Recommend equipment and solutions to meet customer needs.
• Support the sales process through technical expertise and customer communications.
• Some regional travel and on-call hours are required.
